Plan Your Next Career Step

We help you connect your job search with a realistic work permit plan, review your experience and prepare for potential opportunities in Canada.

Work authorization comes first. A job offer alone does not authorize work. Depending on your circumstances, you may need an employer-specific permit, an LMIA-exempt route or an eligible open work permit. IRCC: Work permit options

Know the rules on hiring fees. In B.C., workers cannot be charged for finding a job, contacting employers or submitting job applications. Separate services such as immigration assistance or interview preparation cannot be made a paid condition of getting a job. B.C. government: Employment agencies and hiring fees

Family planning. A spouse’s or partner’s work permit is assessed separately; eligibility depends on the worker’s category, occupation and permit validity. IRCC: Family work permit eligibility

Job offers, work permits and permanent residence each require their own assessment. Employer hiring decisions and government approvals cannot be guaranteed.
